- Long story:

This is a photoshoot that took place in August 1973.

Prior to the series that premiered in January 1974, Universal had produced 3 full length TV movies.

They finaly green lighted the series after the third movie had aired in November 1973 (The Six Million Dollar Man: The Solid Gold Kidnapping).

The TV movies had some promotional photos "James Bond" style, while the series photoshoots focused on the astronaut Col. Steve Austin.

So my best guess is that this "James Bond" style photoshoot, done in August 1973, was made to promote the third 6MDM TV movie: "The Six Million Dollar Man: The Solid Gold Kidnapping (1973)".

Martin Balsam was the first Dr Rudy Wells, and only appears in the very first TV movie The Six Million Dollar Man (aired March 1973).

Watched many of my crossover episodes of the bionic series, but it's not from them!

This still is from Lee Majors' series shot in the 80s "The Fall Guy".

Lindsay Wagner guest starred in one episode. S3 e1 "Devil's Island".
